After breakfast and hotel check-out, your tour guide will escort you to our comfortable 4×4 vehicle for a journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis, featuring lush date palms and crystal-clear water. You can choose to hike further into the wadi to discover additional pools and a cave with an underwater stream. If swimming isn’t your preference, you can relax and watch the local boys cliff dive. After spending a wonderful afternoon exploring Wadi Bani Khalid, proceed northwest on Highway 23 to Ibra. Here, your tour guide will help you explore the ancient mud buildings still active in Ibra. On Wednesday mornings, the souq is quite lively, and if you continue past it and turn right, you’ll reach Al-Munisifeh, the old village of Ibra, with its crumbling mud buildings from days gone by. Next, head to Nizwa to visit the popular Nizwa Fortress and Souq. The fortress, a major national monument, is usually bustling, but you can enjoy traditional Omani food from various food stalls and witness local handicrafts being made. The Souq is also an excellent place to browse for traditional garments, spices, and souvenirs. After a day full of exploration, return to your hotel and relax, preparing for the next morning’s adventure.
