In the morning, you will arrive at Muscat International Airport. After a quick and straightforward immigration and customs process, you will be greeted by our friendly and efficient MTA chauffeur at the general arrival lounge. They will assist you to our vehicle for a half-day city tour.

The tour begins with a visit to the stunning Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Next, explore the Bait Al Zubair Museum. You’ll also have photo stops at the residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and the Al Alam Palace, flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through Muttrah Souq, where you can browse and bargain for handicrafts and silver items. Overnight accommodation will be at your hotel in Muscat.

Start point – Muscat, Muscat Governorate, Oman

You will be greeted outside the airport exit gate by a representative holding a personalized name placard. Pick-up can also be arranged from any car-accessible location within Muscat.

10:00 – 12:00

In the morning, after breakfast at 8:00 am, we will begin by exploring the traditional mud houses of Al Hamra and Misfah, two of the oldest villages in the region. These 400-year-old mud houses are still inhabited, and the ancient falaj irrigation system in the village is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, drive to Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar, where you’ll visit remote villages situated at the edge of the dramatic Grand Canyon. Continue your tour to Jebel Shams, the “Sun Mountain,” which stands as Oman’s highest peak at 3,009 meters. Along the way, marvel at Wadi Nakhar, a stunning and geologically spectacular canyon, one of the deepest on the planet. Explore the village known for its traditional weaving, including Omani rugs. Finally, ascend to the top of Jebel Shams for a breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. Overnight stay at the Jebel Shams High Resort.

Around 8:30 am, your tour guide and driver will meet you and escort you into the comfort of a 4-wheel drive for an exciting and adventurous day. Your first stop will be the charming mountain village of Bilad Sayt, set against dramatic mountain scenery. Next, embark on a thrilling drive through the spectacular Wadi Bani Auf, known for its steep bends and bumpy roads, making it suitable only for the physically fit. Continue the journey to Nakhal, home to the impressive 17th-century Nakhal Fort, perched on a mountain peak. This fort, dramatically situated at the edge of the Jebel Akhdar Mountains in northwest Oman, is surrounded by a picturesque oasis. Visit the nearby healing warm springs, Ayn A’ Thowarah, known for its sulfur-rich waters at 45°C, which are believed to cure rheumatism and skin conditions. Enjoy the enchanting landscape before descending the mountain to return to Muscat. Overnight stay at your hotel in Muscat.

We have visited all the prominent placed known for royal bengal tiger but we loved the most Ranthambhore National park (because there we saw tiger 2 times ;). Jhalana safari is not so worthy as it is still not fully prepared and lack the proper facilities and maintenance. Overall a good trip. Thanks to Team MTA
